12:17am (Indonesia timing) of 19/11

Writing my current thoughts out on this big bed while waiting for my eyes to sleep, so here goes my adventure of Day 1.

Started my 18/11 as early as 6.45am for this trip. It'll be a lie if I wasn't excited because I was so eager for this trip. A total adventure without any tours or etc, it's all free and easy baby.

Yup me being myself, I've always have this in my mind: To travel the world, backpacking or no, I just want to know what's out there. To venture to unknown places, get lost and befriend with the locals. To think out of the box to find solution. Ahhhhh, I'm up for all of these.

After 8 months in my hometown, I was in the plane again yesterday, it was different from the last flight because as for this one, my view was just that for 30mins and the turbulence wasn't helping. Then with faith & patience..

This was the view that I was rewarded with. Such a breathtaking view with those cotton-clouds floating there, damn it, I was so happy. Too happy.

I expected the worst for the trip, the crowd, the traffic, the surrounding, the people. Well obviously it wouldn't be the same as Singapore, duh! Then, I was wrong. The lobby/room made me feel like I'm home like I'm somewhere safe (yeah you know that feeling). The traffic was fine (except for peak hours), the weather's as expected it'll be raining (so no prob with that since it's ending of the year), the neighborhood wasn't that bad & most importantly: THE LOCAL WAS SO FRIENDLY!

I heard about this vintage restaurant/cafe from my aunt and they served us very well. Great ambience + awesome food @ way wayyyyyyy affordable price. So why not have our first lunch here right? Hell yeah!

So throughout the day, it was free and easy, i took the 'Angkut' (@ only 3,000 Rupiah per trip & that's S$0.30) instead of renting cars. Mostly I'd have to walk to the destination, but that wasn't the problem eventhough it was pouring. The rain was so so so so so so cold compared to my hometown.

After a long walk under the rain, I stopped by this vintage coffee shop by the street for its view & BAKSO hehe. Chilled for an hour or so before heading back to the hotel.

Before I end this awesome day, ofcourse it's time for supper.

That explains my first day for my Indon trip, if I were to rate how the day went by it'd be 9.7/10 👍 Just the first day and I feel that I've survived quite a lot during the day.

Ofcourse, to more adventures for day 2! As for now, it's time to read before sleeping. Goodnight 😏
